So I found out yesterday that another of our engineers is fleeing to Google.
He's one of the last of the 'old team' and his contributions are going to be
*sorely* missed. Damn you Google!
On the other end of the spectrum, we've decided to promote on of the sales
critters to VP of Sales. I have to say that this move makes sense to me, though
it does put us down a sales critter. And apparantly we've decided to not
replace the departed CTO. Instead, we've promoted a PM into the newly-revived
Dir of Engr position. So I have a new boss after all, but not as high up in the
food chain. Quite honestly, the jury is out on this move. I like the guy, but
it will be interesting to see if he's 'too intimate' w/ Engr to see what is
wrong with it. It's very hard to see the issues when you are really close to
something. Guess we'll have to wait and see.
