This morning I went to pay my bills online and noticed that I had 2 direct
deposits from VA overnite. One was my usual paycheck, but the other turned out
to be my quarterly bonus for last quarter. Since this had never happened in a
direct deposit before, I decided to Jabber the payroll guys and ask them what
was up. It turns out that they are going to direct deposit them from now on
because ... get this.. they are tired of having to re-issue checks when people
lose them!
I'm not the most organized person in the world, but how in the hell do you lose
a quarterly bonus check?! I mean, these generally aren't pennies we're talking
about here.. and to have it be enough of an issue that the company starts
direct depositing them? oof!
