Emily has started attending classes at the Ballet Met Columbus (she's still
competing for Mitch at his new studio, but taking all 'tech' classes at the
Ballet Met). She's
totally gung-ho about dance (again) and the Ballet
Met. Totally loves it. She tried out for a part in their Christmas production
of The Nutcracker, and made it. She'll be doing both dance and gymnastics,
which is very cool. Because of the role she landed, there's a very real
possibility that she might get to go to Buffalo, NY to perform the show over
Thanksgiving weekend. However, her biological father has decided that he's not
going to let her, cause it's his holiday and he doesn't think she needs to put
so much into this 'dance thing'. That's right, he has no real reason. We're not
asking him to take her or pick her up, or pay for a cent. He just doesn't want
to let her. WTF is that all about? It's not like he's really going to spend any
quality time w/ her over the holiday. He hasn't the past 7 years, why would
this year be different?
That man can be such an ass.
