Yeah, I know.
another Rocky flick? Sly is fscking 61!! But, believe it or not, this film really actually works. It's a great way to end the series, and I ended up being glad they filmed it. The film is a lot like the first Rocky in tone, color, and pacing. Rocky has lost the wife, the son barely has anything to do with him, and Pauly is, well, Pauly. Rocky has a restaurant and regals his guests w/ stories of the glory days, and signing autographs and getting pictures taken. Other than that, there's not much in his life, and he has a need to DO something. Rocky doesn't know anything but fighting, and so he goes to get his license to fight again. After some controversy, it's granted, and instead of him going to a local gym and fighting "little" matches here and there as he planned, he gets sucked into an exhibition bout w/ the current heavyweight champ. I won't tell you how it ends, but I will tell you that one of the better fights in the whole series. A worthy addition to the existing Rocky collection.
