I watched this flick last night. Tina started watching, but didn't make it past them killing the messenger. She just didn't have the patience to wait for the story to pick up. Personally, I really liked this movie. So much that I just bought it actually. It took a little for me to get used to the stylized look of it, but once I did, I found it pretty cool. I haven't read the comic, but I'm pretty sure the look of the film is a decent adaptation of the comic. I liked how the Spartan king worked around the laws by simply taking his 'bodyguards' with him on 'a hike'. Some of the troops that were invading were a little, um, unique. It would have been a little nicer to have an explanation for them. But that's about my only complaint. The battles felt 'heavy', but not completely over-the-top. Yes, you'll have to suspend your disbelief, but they are Sparta warriors after all. :)
